  1. Install Ubuntu Server (or Raspberry Pi OS) on your VM or Pi (2+ cores, 4 GB RAM minimum).
  2. Get your device’s IP address (run ip a or ifconfig).
  3. Upload DMXSmartLink.zip to /home/youruser/.
  4. Open a terminal and run: sudo su chmod +x setup.sh ./setup.sh
  5. After reboot, browse to https://[your IP]:5000.
  6. Click “Homebridge UI” → Get Started → Create Username & Password.
  7. In Dashboard: Plugins → Update Homebridge UI → Restart → Plugin Store → install your smart-light integrations.
