🧰 Getting Started with DMX Smart Link
- Install Ubuntu Server (or Raspberry Pi OS) on your VM or Raspberry Pi (2 cores, 4 GB RAM minimum).
- Get your device’s IP address using
ip aorifconfig. - Upload the DMXSmartLink zip to
/home/youruser/. - Open terminal and run:
sudo su
chmod +x setup.sh
./setup.sh - After the reboot, open your browser and go to:
https://[your IP]:5000 - Click “Homebridge UI” → Get Started → Create Username & Password
- Open Dashboard → Click Plugins → Update Homebridge UI
- Click Restart (top right), then go to “Plugin Store” to install smart light integrations.
âť“How do I access the dashboard after reboot?
After installation, go to https://[your IP]:5000 in your browser. Make sure you’re on the same network and using https (not http).
âť“Why is my smart light not responding?
Ensure you installed the correct Homebridge plugin for your smart light brand, and that the device is online and reachable on the same network.
âť“Can I use DMX Smart Link with LightKey?
Yes. Just set LightKey’s Art-Net output to target your DMX Smart Link device’s IP. Make sure ports 6454 (UDP) are open and your subnet matches.
